Lápiz Objects was started by Izaid Barr, a psychologist & artist originally from Mexico, who now lives and works in Los Angeles. Her hand-built pieces revel in the organic qualities of clay and often exude a sense of playfulness paired with utility. The results are lively and engaging works at varying scales that live in the space between function and pure sculpture.
